Using ProFind

What is ProFind?+

ProFind helps engineers find connector mates, compatible accessories, replacement options, and buildable assemblies using catalog data, compatibility rules, and sourced evidence.

What can I do in the Config Workspace?+

Start with a connector family or part, add mates, contacts, wedges, seals, boots, and other accessories, then review the bill of materials before sending the assembly to checkout.

How should I start a new build?+

Use New connector in the Config Workspace, pick the connector family and key attributes, then add compatible parts from the canvas controls or BOM panel.

Does ProFind replace engineering review?+

No. ProFind narrows the search and flags compatibility signals, but final fit, application requirements, and purchasing decisions should still be reviewed against manufacturer documentation.

Compatibility And Data

Where does compatibility guidance come from?+

Guidance is built from normalized catalog attributes, manufacturer documentation, curated compatibility rules, and deterministic connector-family logic where available.

Why do some results say they need attention?+

A needs-attention state means the build or BOM has a possible mismatch, missing selection, unresolved accessory requirement, or validation issue that should be reviewed before checkout.

What if a part or product line is missing?+

Use Share feedback in the Config Workspace header, choose the relevant type, and include the manufacturer, part number, product line, or datasheet link. The ProFind team reviews every submission.

Cart And Checkout

What does the red number on the checkout icon mean?+

It shows the total units currently in your cart. Tap the checkout icon from the workspace header to review the cart and complete checkout.

Can one checkout contain multiple saved builds?+

Yes. Cart rows can include parts from the current build and other saved builds. Review line items on the checkout page before submitting.

Are saved checkout details reused?+

If you save contact and address details during checkout or in Settings, ProFind can prefill them next time you check out.

Account And Support

How do I report a bug?+

Select Share feedback in the Config Workspace header, choose Report a bug, and include what happened, what you expected, and any part numbers or steps that help reproduce it.

How do I send general feedback?+

Select Share feedback in the Config Workspace header and choose the most relevant type. Ideas, product-line requests, and missing-data notes all go to the same reviewed feedback queue.

How do I log out?+

Choose Logout from the workspace menu. ProFind asks for confirmation before ending your session on the current device.
